Location

Our Biodanza classes & weekends happen at Studio Exhale in Cranston, Rhode Island. The address is 1263 Oaklawn Ave # 3, Cranston, RI 02920. There is plenty of parking in the lot in front, to the side, as well as behind the building.
The Studio Space

The main studio at Exhale has beautiful hardwood floors and plenty of natural light. We love dancing there! Please leave your street shoes on the shoe rack by the front entrance and check in at the front desk. There are two bathrooms, a small changing room and a coat rack down the hallway to the left. Inside the main studio there are shelves for personal items as well as ample bolsters and blankets available for resting.
Please note: We share the building with other practitioners who count on a quiet, safe space to meet with their clients. We rent only the main studio and limit our presence in the areas outside of the studio to bathroom use and arriving / departing. Please maintain silence in the hallways and vestibules in respect to our studio neighbors.
Clothing / Shoes / Fragrances

Biodanza requires nothing but a willingness to explore yourself in movement– so please wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in. Feel free to wear your favorite sweats or your favorite flashy shirt / swishy skirt. Dress in layers to keep yourself comfortable. Most people dance barefoot. If you prefer to wear shoes, please choose non-street shoes or shoes that won’t scuff the floor.
Also, please refrain from wearing additional fragrances as some dancers may be sensitive to scents. Thank you!
Our Commitment to a Healthy, Respectful Circle

Together we create a safe and welcoming space. To honor our community, we ask everyone to care for their own and each other’s well-being in the following ways:
- Stay home if unwell – If you have a fever, cough, flu-like symptoms, or have recently tested positive for COVID, please wait until you are fully recovered before joining the circle.
- Be mindful of contagious conditions – If you or someone in your household currently has pink eye, head lice or another easily spread condition, please sit this session out until it has cleared.
- Practice good hygiene – Wash hands before and after class; hand sanitizer will also be available in the space.
- Respect personal space – While Biodanza invites closeness, please honor your own boundaries and those of others. Consent is always at the heart of our practice.
- Bring what you need – A water bottle, layers of comfortable clothing, and anything that helps you feel supported in caring for yourself and the group.
By tending to these simple guidelines, we keep the circle strong, healthy, and joyful for everyone.

Full Weekend Schedule & Flow
(Join us for Friday night only or come for the whole weekend.)

The weekend starts with our Friday night dance from 7pm to 9pm. It is a fun and dynamic dance that is designed to delight people who are new to the practice.
The weekend continues on Saturday morning at 11am. We generally take about 15 minutes to socialize and settle before we begin dancing. This session, along with the other two daytime sessions, is a deeper dive into the Biodanza practice. These dances are often deeper, as well as tender, and could possibly stir the soul.
After our morning session, we enjoy a potluck lunch together. (potluck details below). It lasts approximately 45 minutes and is followed by a 45 minute rest period, using props and blankets from the yoga studio. Feel free to bring anything that will make you more comfortable and cozy.
The afternoon session begins at approximately 2:30pm and we dance until about 4pm. Oftentimes there is an informal group gathering for dinner and socializing after the dance.
The Sunday morning session begins at 10am, and like Saturday morning, we usually take a little time to socialize and settle. We begin with a “Sharing Circle” about our weekend experiences followed by our last dance together, which generally ends by 12:30pm. We close with another potluck lunch.

About our Potlucks
Studio Exhale graciously allows us to use their beautiful, pristine yoga/dance space for our potluck lunches on Saturday and Sunday.
You are invited to bring a dish for all to share, labeled with ingredients including gluten, hot pepper, nuts, and dairy. Note we are not able to have crock pots or any heating devices in the studio.
Please only eat in the studio in the area we have designated for lunch. We ask that you chip in to clean up the studio after our meals together. This is part of what makes it possible for us to use Studio Exhale and it’s a way for all of us to contribute.
